| | While most people think of “planned giving” as a charitable gift that is made at the time of their death and paid by their estate, it is certainly beneficial when gifts are made to the Endowment Fund during life. In many cases, there may be tax benefits as well as the satisfaction gained by seeing your gift working while you are alive. Cash, appreciated securities, a bequest through a will, life insurance, split interest gifts, such as charitable remainder trusts or annuities, charitable lead trusts and retained life estates, are all ways to make a planned gift to ECS. As with all planned gifts, donors should consult legal and financial counsel before entering into any agreement.

 | The purpose of the Foundation is to provide and maintain perpetual funding for Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s School. The School uses annual interest and capital gains from the invested funds in the endowment to provide and maintain funding for scholarships and bursaries, financial aid, and special projects. Continued growth of our endowment funds is essential for enhancing ECS’s education programs and providing financial assistance to some of our students.

| | No more lasting tribute can be made to honor a loved one or special friend than a gift that lives in service to others. A significant anniversary, a major life accomplishment, or the death of an individual may all be occasions for such special gifts. The donor will receive a gift acknowledgment, and notification of the gift will be sent to the individual the donor designates.
