The Process

Middle School Admissions

List of 4 items.

  • Step 1: Get the Ball Rolling

Help us get to know your daughter and family better by filling out our Intake Form. From here, we will get in touch with you to answer all your initial questions and set you up with your online application login and password.
  • Step 2: Apply Online

We work on a rolling system and welcome applications at any time during the year but we highly recommend starting the process early. Should you have any questions or concerns as you work through the application, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Admissions Officer.

In addition, for your daughter to apply to ECS, we ask that all students and their families provide the following documents:

  • Step 3: Participate in the Evaluation Process

    For entrance to Grade 7
We invite your daughter to "Spend A Day At ECS". They will meet one-on-one with Admissions Committee members, including the Head of School and spend time with current students and faculty. Parents will also have the opportunity to meet with the Head of School to learn more about our culture and community.
Students applying to Grade 7 will also be asked to write the Brisson Legris Common Admissions Test. The agency then sends the scores to the schools to which the child is applying.

For entrance to Grades 6 and 8
Your daughter will write the Canadian Cognitive Achievement Test (CAT) and meet with the Admissions Committee members. There will also be an opportunity for your family to spend time with the Head of School to learn more about our culture and community.
  • Step 4: Wait for a Decision

The Admissions Committee meets and a decision is usually made within two weeks of the applicant's evaluation.
