Senior Tuition & Fees

At this stage in their educational journey, students become more aware of their own unique needs and learning styles. Fostering this awareness and their growing independence is especially important as students prepare to make the transition to a post-secondary learning environment.

List of 4 items.

  • Tuition

The fees for the 2018/2019 school year are $19,923. This includes tuition, as well as the snack fee, student supplies fee, and activity fee.
  • Other Fees

    Enrollment Fee
An Enrollment Fee of $200.00 is payable at the time a student is admitted to ECS. This fee is credited to the final statement of account on June 30th provided the student is enrolled at ECS for the entire School year. If a student leaves ECS prior to the end of the School year, the Enrollment Fee is forfeited.

    New Student Building Fund
All families of new students are invited to make a $1,500 gift to the School in support of the ECS New Student Building Fund. The Building Fund provides the necessary funding for capital improvements, and capital expenditures not covered by tuition fees and government subsidies. Tax receipts will be issued.
  • Bursaries

Thanks to the support of generous donors, ECS is able to provide financial support in the form of bursaries to those students who need it. The number of bursaries awarded each year may vary, but the ultimate target is 15% of the grade 6 - 11 population. The amount of the bursary will vary according to need, but will not exceed 75% of tuition. The recipient must meet the entrance requirements of the School, but not necessarily be a scholarship-level student. However, the bursary does not disqualify a scholarship candidate.

ECS uses Apple Financial Services (AFP) to process bursary applications. AFP will provide a standardized and unbiased evaluation in a confidential setting. Applications can be made hereDeadline is October 22, 2018.

It was Mr. Birks’ wish that the School reflect Montreal’s rich social, religious, linguistic, economic, and ethnic diversity. This scholarship covers the full cost of tuition for Grades 7 through 11. A recipient is selected from among students applying to Grade 7 from outside of the School on the basis of academic merit, demonstrated financial need, leadership potential, citizenship skills, and community service commitment.
