The ECS Athletics Program meets the needs of our students in a very inclusive manner. Our extra-curricular program allows students to select the type of physical activity that will best meet their interests as well as their time schedules.

Competitive Teams

Our most competitive program focuses on the development of athletic excellence, teamwork and sportsmanship. Athletes can expect to practice or play their sport 3-4 times per week as well as compete in a variety of local and nationally located tournaments. Teams compete in the GMAA Division I and III, the Montreal Independent Schools League, and the Canadian Accredited Independent School Tournaments.

Recreational Sports

This program is completely non-competitive in nature and focuses on participation. The goal is to encourage students to develop healthy lifelong habits through exposure to a wide variety of activities that students can pursue throughout their lifetime. This program offers students the option to participate in a variety of activities offered in the morning or after school.

Junior Athletics

Students in Grade 5 and 6 have the opportunity to develop their skills in a wide variety of team sports. Practices are held every Monday and Wednesday from 3:15pm - 4:30pm. Players participate in GMAA playdates, exhibition games and tournaments. This is an all-inclusive program where students are taught the skills and strategies of soccer, volleyball, cross country running, basketball, badminton and flag football.
