ENGLISH TEACHER/LEARNING STRATEGIST SECONDARY LEVEL
Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s (ECS) is a small school by design. ECS is seeking an English Teacher and Learning Strategist to join our team in the Middle and Senior School. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a dynamic and forward-thinking setting and understands with us that education changes lives. ENGLISH TEACHER/LEARNING STRATEGIST
(100% Full -time) - Replacement contract
50% English Teacher: 1 group Grade 7 ELA, 1 group Grade 8 ELA
50% English Learning Strategist
START DATE: AUGUST 2024
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education - Secondary English or related field
- Quebec Teaching Permit/Brevet d'enseignement
- Strong reading and writing skills
- Experience or training in literacy skill development in students with diverse learning profiles
- Ability to work with small groups of students with learning difficulties, providing remediation and/or strategic learning support
- Create, write, and revise Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and/or Success Plans (SPs)
- Write progress records for students with IEPs or SPs
- Collaborate with teachers in their pedagogical interventions with students with learning difficulties
- Team player who is proactive, innovative, diplomatic, and dynamic.
- Ability to adapt and embrace change
- Willing to commit to the ECS co-curricular program, athletic coaching, etc.
- Ability to adapt and embrace change
