  • THE PROCESS

While the actual application for international students is submitted online, we encourage each family to get in touch with our Admissions department to answer any questions, and explain which supporting documents are required.

Once the application and supplemental documents have been submitted, they are reviewed by the admissions team, and a decision is made as to whether the candidate will be invited to the next stage of the application process.

If your daughter is selected, she will be invited to spend a day at ECS, during which time she will:

    a) Spend time with current students and faculty
    b) Write our Entrance exams
    c) Complete our English language assessment

Depending on her age, she may meet one-on-one with Admissions Committee members. There may also be an opportunity for your family to meet with the Head of School to learn more about our community and culture.

Once the process is complete, we will contact the family with our decision.
  • DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

To apply to ECS, we ask that all international students and students from outside of Quebec  provide the following documents:

  • JOINING OUR COMMUNITY

At ECS we are committed to building curriculum and programmes that are authentic and purposeful, to help students achieve personal growth and whole-girl wellness. With that in mind, we offer our students from outside of Quebec the following services:
    • French language acquisition support
    • Parent/Family integration information sessions and events - come meet with faculty, staff and current parents
    • Parent-Buddy Program: We will connect you with another ECS family who can be there to support you and help introduce you to our community
    • On-premise staff members dedicated to helping students and families settle smoothly into our school and the city

Eligibility

In the province of Québec, access to English schooling is governed by the provisions in Bill 115. Simply stated, English schools receiving grants from the government can only accept students who have their Certificate of Eligibility to study in an English school.

ECS’ Junior School programme does not receive government grants. As such, children attending the Junior School programme (K-6) do not require a Certificate of Eligibility to attend the school. However, because ECS receives partial government funding for its Middle and Senior School programmes, students in Middle School and Senior School (Grades 7-11) do require the Certificate of Eligibility to attend our school.
