Extended Day Programme (EDP) Assistant
ECS is seeking an Extended Day Programme Assistant. The Assistant will be in charge of maintaining a safe, quiet and welcoming environment for the students to play, learn, create and do their homework. They will meet weekly with the EDP Coordinator to go over any programme updates and student-related academic or well-being concerns that need to be addressed. This person will also be in charge of supervising the students, maintaining the daily schedule, facilitating daily-specialized activities and continuously updating the daily attendance. The Daily Hours for the Extended Day Programme are from 3pm – 6pm, Monday to Friday. In addition, EDP also offers services on Ped Days from 7am – 6pm.
We are looking for qualified candidates to fill the following position:
Extended Day Programme (EDP) Assistant
Start date: August 2022
Part-time: 15hrs/week
Monday to Friday - 3pm to 6pm

Responsibilities and Duties:
Create a safe and well supervised environment for the programme participants
Must always be punctual, reliable and responsible
Ensure every child leaves the programme each day feeling welcomed, happy and safe
Take attendance daily as children check-in and update it periodically
Ensure that the programme schedule is being followed adequately and that hours are being respected
Facilitate the Daily Specialized activities
Interact and entertain the children
Along with the EDP Coordinator, meet weekly to go over any updates or important information
Assist students with their homework and any questions or concerns they may have
Communicate with Parents, Teachers, Faculty and staff to ensure all expectations are being met to ensure students’ success
Keep active communication with EDP Coordinator regarding any concerns or issues that may arise during the programming time
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma
Must have at least 2 years of experience in related field (i.e. Education, Child Studies, volunteer work, summer camp experience, etc.)
Certified in First Aid and CPR is an asset
Bilingual in both English and French
